Mantle President
Jennifer Smith
Columbus,GA
Hey ya’ll, I’m Jennifer Smith, most people just call me Jenn! I’m in my early 40’s and grew up in
a small town in Southeast Georgia, called Jesup. The first thing I’d like to tell you about myself is
that I love the Lord with all of my heart, and I want to humbly serve Him all the days of my life.
Another thing about me is I have what you would call radical faith! I believe for the impossible!
My story is one of redemption and will soon be out in a book. It’s been 20 years now that I have
been clean and sober! The Lord is truly a miracle worker! All one has to do is to look at me to
know it. The life change God has brought about in me makes me want to see it again, over and
over, in other people’s lives. God has given me a heart for the homeless, those bound to addiction,
children, and those with special needs. I love going into the streets to prophesy and feed those less
fortunate.
I have served the Lord in various ways, such as leading an international youth ministry club called
Awana and working with the Boys and Girls Club. I have volunteered as a greeter for ministerial
functions, nursery work, intercessor and so much more. My motto is whatever my hands find to
do for the Lord, I will do it with all might! The ministry, though, that has been dubbed ‘my baby,’
of which I was founder, was Backpack Blessings. Every week 100 drawstring bags were filled
with donations of food, hygiene products, and other goods, then delivered to 18 schools in the city.
Those backpacks have been handed out to children who usually had only one meal a day, and that
was at school. I was surprised when Backpack Blessings made the local news! Little did I know
that God would use this labor of love to inspire others to remember to give to those who are needy
and less fortunate than themselves.
I’ve been happily married for years. My husband, Jared, is active-duty military with the US Army,
stationed at Fort Benning, having dedicated almost 20 years to serve our great nation. I’m a proud
mom to three amazing children, Makayla, 25, Ridge 23, and Rayna 20. I’m also a proud
grandmother of a baby boy named Ryker. We live in Columbus, Georgia where I will serve as
President of the City Mantle.
One additional bit of information to share with you is that God showed me that I would be in a
huge room full of women, who need to hear what the Lord has given me to say, and I believe
iWOWi is a big part of fulfilling that vision. I’m so excited to join this amazing ministry and can’t
wait to see how God uses the iWOWi City Mantle to help my fellow military spouses! It was after
much prayer that I chose the mantle name of Rizpah. She is only mentioned twice in the Bible
narrative, but her anointing is very spiritual! She refused to allow her sons to see corruption and
defilement! Her dedication was remarkable. My expectation is that many sons and daughters will
be set free through the iWOWi Rizpah City Mantle.
