Chicago,IL
Reverend Maria Rogers is a true mother in Zion. German by birth, Maria was led by the Spirit to relocate herself and her children to Chicago, Illinois, USA, where the Lord gave her a mandate to serve as His ambassador to the nation. It was in 1988 that God dramatically saved Maria from a life of sin, degradation, hopelessness, and desolation, radically changing her life though the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord’s love, word, and light became the never-ending resource of her newly found faith.
As a servant of Jesus Christ, Maria is an ordained minister of the Gospel who preaches and teaches with fire, stirring all those who hear her to seek a closer walk with the Lord. The love of God compels her to exhort others to surrender their lives to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and to find their God-ordained destiny. As a mother of four God-fearing children and grandmother of eight, Maria’s life continues to bear fruit to the glory of God. Her well-known son, Marcus Rogers, is testimony of her strong anointing to disciple.
Maria holds a Bachelor and a Master’s Degrees in Teaching and for years has taught in Chicago’s Public School System. Maria has served the Lord in a variety of ways, from Sunday School teacher to conference and church speaker. She has been a featured speaker for iWOWi regional conference. Presently, Maria serves the Lord as the Dean of Students over Christ Exalted Seminary at Firehouse Church, President of iWOWi Deborah Mantle in Chicago, Illinois, Overseer for retreats and conferences for the Firehouse Ladies’ Fellowship.
Maria has written books that have blessed many, encouraging the readers to pursue a deeper intimacy with the Lord. Her writing began one special day, when in close fellowship with the Lord, He asked Maria to write down her testimony and give a record of how He brought her from a broken existence to a fruitful life, thus was birthed the book “Crowned to Serve”. Another book was soon to follow, “What Must I Do to Be Saved?”, relating to the doctrines of the Bible, which she learned to put into practice, and as a result brought great change into her own life. The beauty of Maria’s ministry is that her hunger for the Lord is contagious!
