Rebecca Baker
Cookeville/Livingston,TN
Rebecca Baker has brought the Gospel into 53 nations. Often risking her life, she went into foreign territory for the cause of Christ, sometimes even smuggling Bibles where they were labeled as “dangerous literature” or “contraband”. The great passion reflected in Rebecca’s ministry began with a desperate cry, “God, if you are real, you need to prove it tonight or else I am going to kill myself.” He revealed Himself in a powerful way to Rebecca, and from that moment on she belonged fully to Jesus.
Rebecca’s call to nations led her to set up her ministry headquarters in South Africa where she took missionary trips, bringing the delivering and healing power of Jesus Christ, to every nation below the equator. Rebecca entered South Africa when it was experiencing turbulent times in transitioning from apartheid to freedom for all. After 10 years of living abroad, she returned to the U.S. and began to pastor for 15 years in a fast-growing church in the Tampa Bay area of Florida. The fruit of her labor was readily seen in the lives that were changed as well as those she discipled, who are now transforming whole communities for Christ.
Added to Rebecca’s powerful testimony is her dramatic healing when she was dying of advanced cancer. Her family were taking turns in saying their goodbyes, when Rebecca once more made a desperate plea to God, and He heard her. Today, she declares with total abandonment “Jesus is Healer”! Rebecca flows with a very strong prophetic anointing. She is also a mother, a grandmother, and presently lives in Cookeville, Tennessee where she is President of the iWOWi Deborah Mantle.
