Lawrita Brawner belongs to the selective, diverse group known as PK’s (preacher’s kids). Her
parents served as pastors of a church in Naples, FL, where she grew up. From the time she was a
little girl until this present time she has enjoyed being in the house of the Lord! All her life she has
been involved in ministry, and church was considered her home-away-from-home.
When Lawrita reached marital age, it was only natural for her to be drawn to a Christian man who
served as a minister in the Body of Christ. Together, she and her husband, began their union serving
the Lord in a ministerial position with great zeal. After twenty-four years of marriage and nine
children, sadly, through much struggle and warfare, the marriage ended in divorce. Through it all,
Lawrita and her children found themselves totally dependent on God’s provision for them, and He
did not fail them!

Within a couple of years, God brought Todd into Lawrita’s life. She and the children were blessed
beyond measure! He didn’t flinch at Lawrita having nine children, for he was used to large
families, being from one of 11 children himself! God used Todd to show them a standard of a
Godly man who loved, took care of his new family, and loved life! Lawrita’s newfound happiness
was short-lived. After only two years into their marriage, Todd was diagnosed with esophageal
cancer and died four months later. Moreover, her father passed of Covid complications in
November, just nine days before Todd. The two men that she cherished the most were gone, and
her world was turned upside down yet again.

But God...! He carried Lawrita and her children through the valley of the shadow of death and is
continuing to heal and restore. The Lord has gone above and beyond, as He often does. Through
some interesting Divine steps (nothing short of a good Hallmark movie) God brought a wonderful,
Godly and supportive husband, Jeff, into Lawrita's life. Together they live in Jeffersonville,
Indiana, with her nine children, and his four children, moreover, she is “GiGi” to five
grandchildren.

As Lawrita ministers the Word of God, she interweaves her testimony, for from the time she was
a little girl, she has learned to hear and depend on the voice of God. She, too, has become familiar
with the tactics of the enemy, who has an agenda to discourage, overtake and silence women!
Lawrita’s story is one of abuse, divorce and the “valley of the shadow of death.” Lawrita knows
all too well how the enemy wants to steal promises and breed hopelessness. Yet her story is also
one of God’s faithfulness and goodness, for in Lawrita’s lifetime she has experienced all the
amazing benefits of walking in a relationship with the Lord, witnessing miracles, signs, and
wonders!

Lawrita yearns to minister freedom to women and lead them into finding their fulfillment in Christ.
She loves to share how that throughout the Bible, God has used women to break strongholds, move
mountains and shake the foundations of tradition and sin. It is through her prophetic gifting that
she encourages and helps women to find their voice. Her faithful charge to all women is “Rise
up!” “Heed the call!” “Break strongholds!” Lawrita has an anointing to exhort all women to rise
above their circumstances and walk in their own giftings and callings and to change the trajectory
in their families and communities. Her motto is “Live life bravely~gracefully~fully!”
