Camellia Rose Morris
Montreal/Quebec, Canada
Camellia Rose Morris lives in the French province of Canada, Quebec, in the city of Montreal. The word “gifted” is an understatement when it comes to describing this Kingdom sister. When God passed out talents, He seemed to have said, “Let’s pour a heap of them upon this daughter.” Camellia Rose is an organizer, instrumental music composer, a pianist, a singer, a speaker, a teacher, a visual artist, a writer, and the list goes on and on. It has been said of her, “What can she not do?” With that said, Camellia Rose, though, does not focus on her giftedness, other than use them for the Lord. She is one who walks in great humility, lending her talents to the Kingdom of God wherever they are needed, and iWOWi happens to be one of them!
Camellia Rose has a rich cultural background, her family having originated from the islands of Jamaica, Trinidad, and Tobago in the West Indies. Her grandfather, Harold Jackman, was the first person whom, when just a young girl, she ever heard preach. He was very involved in many civil rights organizations across the city of Toronto and spent his life advocating for fair and equal treatment for the black community in both Quebec and Ontario. His legacy inspired her to care deeply about human rights, regardless of race, gender, social status, or culture. It was from her grandfather that Camellia Rose learned to put her faith always in God, even during troublesome times. And as a young woman, having experienced her fair share of challenges, she has learned firsthand that the Lord is faithful, always there to guide her through them. Camellia Rose freely shares her experiences with others to help them grow in their Christian walk.
Camellia Rose’s personal background is in classical music. She has written several children’s books and a memoir, “A River Called Mother”, which was selected by the Canada Arts Council and will be released in September 2023. She is the mother of three children, Aria, Elijah and Chevanese. Camellia Rose started an iWOWi Esther Mantle for Quebec not knowing anyone in the city and not having a home church at that time. After finding her a home church that gave their support, she started an iWOWi Mantle in her home, and it has experienced phenomenal growth.
